For about a month, my mother has said I sound "sick" on the phone. I think about it, then say, "No, but I have allergies."
Then, today, allergy free, she said I sounded "sick" again.
Me: Mom, you keep saying I sound "sick."
Mom: Hmm. Maybe you getting old?
Me: My voice changing is a possibility.
Mom: You sound like your daddy. Husky!
Me: What?!
Mom: (laughing) You old lady now, huh!
Me: What?!?
Mean mean mean mean mean mean.
