This is my second year as an RA. In our university residence hall (often known as dorm) I’m a “student leader.” You know, keep order, serve as a resource to residents, organize events, and generally work to maintain a positive living and learning community, yadda yadda.
The new incoming freshmen (and a few returning sophomores) are in our hall. I’m in the “Wellness Hall” which I find pretty hilarious. Our staff isn’t necessarily more or less “fit” than any other staff. But just as anal retentive. Sometimes I can’t stand the RAs on our side of campus. They take themselves very seriously. I just can’t find commonality with them.
Oh well. Here’s to the third year of college!
